WWE Royal Rumble Bets & Props
The most common betting option available for the Royal Rumble itself, is who will win. You will be able to choose the winner of both the Men’s Royal Rumble and the Women’s Royal Rumble.
You’ll also be able bet on various props. This changes over the years and depending on the sportsbook, but these are wrestling props that have featured over the last few years:
- Will the winner be a first time winner?
- Will the longest ring time record be broken? (Rey Mysterio set the record at 62:12 in 2006)
- Best finishing position out of a group
- First participant out of a group
- Most eliminations
- Amount of eliminations a wrestler will have
- Bet on who will make the ‘Final Four’
Along with the Royal Rumble you will also be able to bet on every individual match on the card.
Common WWE Royal Rumble Questions:
Sadly, the best strategy has been to bet the favorite heading into the match.
2013: John Cena wins as the favourite at -175 odds.
2014: Batista wins as the favourite at -210 odds.
2015: Roman Reigns wins as the favourite at -165 odds.
2016: Triple H wins as the favourite at +105 odds.
2017: Randy Orton wins as the favourite at +150 odds.
2018: Shinsuke Nakamura wins as the favourite at +100 odds. Asuka wins as the favorite at +125 odds.
2019: Seth Rollins wins as favourite at -110. (Becky was 2nd favourite for the Women’s Royal Rumble at +120)
2020: See Below.
2021: Edge wins as the second favourite at +225. Bianca Belair won as the favourite at +175.
That changed in 2020 though with Charlotte and Drew as +500 winners.
The WWE often has marketing materials out with the top matches at WrestleMania which can leak some information on the potential Royal Rumble winner. With the two matches and multiple titles, the WWE can switch things up, but as of late that hasn’t been the case.
The good news is that +100 and +125 are still pretty good odds.
That said, WWE has been known to throw a curveball on things. At the 2020 Royal Rumble, Roman Reigns at -150 and Shayna Baszler at -250 both went into the event as huge favorites to win the match. The WrestleMania card that leaked had both of them in the main event title matches and it seemed like they would for sure when this match and take those spots at WrestleMania.
On the day of the event, WWE changed their minds and two different people won. Drew McIntyre won the match for the men and he was a +500 underdog heading into the match. The Women’s Royal Rumble match saw another +500 winner with Charlotte Flair. As a whole, betting on favorites still pays very well, but it is not always a lock.

What wrestler has the most Royal Rumble wins?
Stone Cold Steve Austin holds the record of most Royal Rumble wins as he has won the match three times in his career. Many of those wrestlers are still active today so it is always possible that one of them could tie Stone Cold’s mark.
Is Ronda Rousey going to be in the 2022 Royal Rumble?
That’s the rumour. It seems set in stone that Ronda will be performing at Wrestlemania this year, with Becky her most likely opponent. Whether they go the route of having Ronda win the Rumble or not is anyone’s guess.

How To Bet WWE:
BetOnline: They’re actually hidden away a bit. You can find them under “Game Props”, then click on “Wrestling”.
Mr Green: The wrestling bets are not easy to find here, unfortunately. Your best bet is to go into the search bar at the top of the page and type “WWE”.
WWE Royal Rumble Betting Strategy:
As we laid out above, betting on the favorite to win the Royal Rumble is typically the best strategy. Of course, with two brands and two major titles there is always a chance that they can pull a fast one on you. That means that the best strategy is to go big on the favorite, but then also bet on a small underdog with chances to win. This way you are hedging your bet, while also covering the most likely winner.
