What Sports Can You Bet On in December

The sports world never stops and that includes this month. Some of the biggest holidays of the year take place in December, but sports doesn’t care about that. There are games on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s. It’s something that we sports fans can all be thankful for. There’s nothing quite like putting on a game on a holiday and just relaxing.

There is plenty to do that with. Football fans have it made in December as there are multiple weeks of the NFL, including games on Christmas. Fans of college football are in heaven this month as there are some of the biggest games of the year on the schedule. The Conference Championship games in the Big Ten, SEC, Big 12, PAC 12, and ACC take place which all leads to the playoffs which typically take place on New Year’s Eve.

December also has a full month of basketball with the NBA, Euroleague, NBA G-League, Men’s college basketball, and Women’s college basketball.

Basketball: This is a big month of the year for the NBA as they have their annual Christmas Day games. Many people consider this the unofficial start to the season as this is when teams start to really figure out their rotations and the competition goes up.

College basketball is also in full swing with some early season tournaments and big games on the schedule. That includes Women’s college basketball as well.

Fans of the international game can also enjoy Euroleague basketball in December.

Boxing: The boxing schedule is always in flux, but there are usually several big fights scheduled for early in the month.

Football: Football is thriving in December, especially in the world of college football. We see the Conference Championship games, the always big Army/Navy game, and the first bowl games of the year. The college football playoff semifinals take place on New Year’s Eve.

The NFL is in the home stretch of their season in December and there will be a full schedule every weekend of the month.

Golf: December is a quiet month in the world of golf, but there is usually at least one PGA event this month.

Hockey: There are a lot of hockey games on the schedule in December as the NHL is in the heart of their season.

MMA: The two biggest companies in MMA finish off the year strong with big events. UFC will have at minimum one big event in December, but probably more. Bellator will also have a fight card.

Pro Wrestling: One of the biggest events of the year takes place in early January with New Japan Pro Wrestling‘s Wrestle Kingdom. They usually have a full slate of events in December leading up to that event, including the World Tag League.

December also features the last big AEW event of the year, Winter is Coming. WWE usually runs a high profile event in December as well.

Soccer: The main soccer leagues will typically go on a winter break in December, but not before we see some big games. This month has matches from the English Premier League, German Bundesliga, Spanish La Liga, Scottish Premiership, Portugese Primeira, and France Ligue 1.

eSports: The Formula One season has come to an end and now it’s time for the Formula One Esports Series Grand Final to take place.

Another big event in December is the CS:GO BLAST Premier: World Final.

Other events that may occur in December include the Hearthstone World Championship and the PUBG Mobile Global Championship.
