Kickers are a weird part of football. You couldn’t possibly expect a kicker to do anything except for kick, but at the same time your team would be completely lost without one. A kicker is really important and can absolutely cost you the game, but nobody is rushing out to buy a kicker jersey. Like I said, weird.
Kicking is a skill though and like all good skills, you can bet on it. Kicker points is a tricky one when the total is set high, but I’m here to try and help you figure out.
This article is going to go in-depth on betting player kicking points and show you how and where to bet them.
Where To Bet Player Kicking Points:
America: BetOnline doesn’t currently offer kicking points props, but they do have a ton of other props for the NFL. They offer kicking specials, touchdown props, and much more.
Everywhere Else: If you are interested in kicking specials then you should check out Bet365 Sportsbook because they have them listed on their website.
What is Player Kicking Points?
Player kicking points is the amount of points that a kicker will score in a game. The sportsbook then sets an over/under on that total and the bettors choose whether they think it will go over that number or under it.
An example would be Ryan Succop at Super Bowl LV. His total looks like this:
Ryan Succop – Over 7.5 (-110) Under 7.5 (-130)
So in this scenario, an over bet would require Succop to score eight points. That could be two field goals and two extra points, that could be three field goals, or eight extra points. As long as he hits over eight, you win the bet.
Now, the -110 and -130 you see there are moneylines. These meant that you would need to bet $110 to win $100 on the over.
Kicking Specials: This is different from kicking points, but it’s worth mentioning here.
This is a simple kicking prop with really good odds:
– Any field goal or extra points to hit uprights or crossbar +400
The odds of this happening are low, but in a big game – I’ll take them.
Common Player Kicking Points Questions:
What is the record for most field goals in an NFL game?
Tennessee Titans kicker Rob Bironas set the all-time record on October 21, 2007 when he kicked eight field goals in the Titans 38-36 win. Bironas added two extra points in this one for a total of 26 points.
He kicked fields goals of 52, 25, 21, 30, 28, 43, 29, and 29 yards. The last field goal came as time expired and won the game for the Titans.

Player Kicking Points Betting Strategy:
I am looking mostly towards kickers that have a big foot on them. Guys that we can trust from deep to make 40 or 50 yard field goals.
The reason is that we are looking to maximize opportunities when taking an over on something like this. You don’t want to rely on a team scoring six touchdowns and the guy converting all the extra points. You need the field goals.
